"I can read your eyes"
Years have passed by and now Arnav was finally coming back after not only completing his education but also handling the AR Company. He was the great ASR.
As he got out for the car and took off his glasses to look at the Raizada Mansion some old memories came back and some didn't.
He was welcome by his mother. He bends down and touched his mother feet's while Mrs. Raizada gave him blessings
"Ma everything looks so different now." Arnav said looking around his house and feeling little strange.
"Now since you're here everything will be fine" Mrs. Raizada said making Arnav look at her.
"Get changed Arnav while I set up the table" Mrs. Raizada said and left the place.
While walking out of his room he saw guest room door open. He felt like someone was in the room and walked in to see who it was.
It was a girl figure. Her back was toward him and her soft silk hair was left open. He knees was moved up and her face was on her knees.
Nervously Arnav walked toward her and when he came in front he spoke softly "Khushi"
The girl slowly moved her head upward and looked at Arnav. Her face was pale and her tears were all dried up.
"Khushi" He whispered again
Khushi got up from the bed and ran toward Arnav. She hugged him as tight as she could not wanting to let him go.
"Why did you leave Arnav? I missed you so much. When I needed you the most you weren't here. Why Arnav" Khushi cried soft.
Arnav could feel his best friend's pain inside his heart.
"Khushi look at me" He said making her look at him and made her sit beside him on the bed.
"What happened? Aunty kaha hai?"
Khushi looked down without saying anything and he understood what she meant. They were no more. He could read her eyes.
"He cursed himself under his breath. When his best friend needed him the most he wasn't beside her. But then he thought why didn't he get the news? No one told him. He called so many times his mom and dad and they never mentioned it? Why? Was the only thing he could think right.
"Khushi why didn't you told me"
"Kis mau se bitati Arnav? You never called me even once after you left" Khushi said looking down
"Khushi the only reason why I didn't call you was I knew once I talk to you I would come back here. I won't be able to hold myself back and I wanted to surprise you. You know how what I have become today and I am so proud at myself." Arnav said everything proudly and when he saw Khushi looking at him plainly his smiled vanished.
"But every time I took a breath you" Arnav said moving close to Khushi and kissed her cheeks.
She smiled a little bit and looked at him innocently "Promise me about one thing Arnav"
"Don't leave me. Khabhi na. (Never) I will die. I can't live without you. I won't be able to now." And she started crying keeping her head on his shoulder while he comforted her that he will be with her and will never leave her from now on.
The knock on the door broke their hug. When both of them looked up to see who it was, it was Mrs. Raizada.
Arnav stood up from the bed and walked toward his mother.
"Ma, why didn't you tell me?" He asked getting little angry at his mother
"I wanted you to find out on your own, And Arnav telling on the phone is not the same as telling on persons face. Well, since now you're here you have to take care of Khushi. My responsibility is finished... Oh I forgot to tell you guys come and eat. The food is ready."
"Aunty mujhe bokh nahi hai"(I am not hyngry)
Mrs. Raizada looked at Arnav and he understood. "Ma can you please send mine an Khushi food in this room?" He said looking at Khushi.
Mrs. Raizada nodded and left the room.
Khushi was sitting on the bed with Arnav sitting beside her and feeding her.
Silence was filled inside the whole room. Both of them didn't say a word but smiled at each other at sometimes.
Feeling weird Khushi finally decided to talk to Arnav.
"How were your studies?" She asked finally breaking the silence.
"Bad. I didn't have anyone to do my homework when I didn't want it. You remembered whenever I wasn't in the mood to do my homework you were used to do it for me just so I don't get zero." Both of them chuckled remembering their childhood memories.
Both of them talked to hours until there was another knock on the door but this time it was Mr. Raizada.
"Kaise hoo Khushi beta" (How are you Khushi) Mr. Raizada asked
"I am fine uncle" Khushi answered smilingly
Father and son hugged each other and started talking about business. Until Arnav got so busy he left the room with his father leaving Khushi all alone.
She was sad but on the other side also happy to seeing him come back. Everyone missed him a lot.
Soon Khushi heard the phone beep. She looked down on the bed and it was Arnav phone.
She looked at the call phone and it was a text message from something which said "Babe hope you have reached safely ... Call me when u get time. Missing u a lot. Luv u <3"
Somewhere inside her heart Khushi felt something. It's wasn't a good think but maybe a jealously?
She decided to get up and give Arnav his cell phone.
She was walking toward Arnav bedroom while Arnav was also going to his room.
Arnav saw her walking toward him but lost in some thoughts.
"Khushi" He called out making her come out of her thoughts.
"hmm"
"Where are you going? And where are you lost?"
"Woh"
Just then Arnav eyes fell on her hands and he saw his phone.
"Oh yeah I forgot my phone in your home"
Khushi looked at him confusingly and then at her hands where Arnav had just pointed.
"Oh yeah, you forgot your phone in my room. You got a text message from some kind of girl"
Arnav smiled was little vanished knowing who it would be and Khushi could read his face expression easily. She looked in his eyes and understood he was hiding something from her.
